“The European health card: political issues and technological barriers” working paper for the European Parliament commissioned by STOA Science and Technology Options Assessment.
After a review of local policies and state-of-the-art solutions in the member countries, future actions and medium and long-term perspectives are examined. The study examines all aspects related to the adoption of a European health card in terms of policy, data management, interoperability and technological implications, with the aim to be a reference point for the adoption of policies and future actions of the EU in terms of health card.
